It uses the blue butterfly symbol to identify products and services that have been reviewed for their benefit to people with asthma and allergies.
How Sensitive Choice Is Assessed
Products submitted to Sensitive Choice are reviewed by an independent expert panel.
The panel looks at evidence submitted by the manufacturer such as research, independent testing by a licensed and registered test facility, and any other product evidence that demonstrates a benefit to asthma and allergy sufferers. Suitable products are awarded the Blue Butterfly mark.
What Sensitive Choice Means for Paint Customers
Sensitive Choice and its Blue Butterfly mark helps identify paints suitable for households with allergies, asthma, and concerns about indoor air quality.
For natural paint customers, it supports the link between paint formulation and indoor comfort. Relevant factors include low VOC content, low emissions, mineral ingredients, reduced irritants and suitability for homes where asthma, allergies or respiratory sensitivity are a concern.
