Victorian Paint Colours
Victorian rooms were rich, layered and unafraid of depth. Green was the colour of the age, and Victorian green paint came in every weight from leafy parlour greens to the deep bottle greens of front doors and railings. Our Butler's Green and Gables Green are the classics, and around them I've picked 35 paint colours from our Graphenstone and Earthborn ranges: oxblood reds, warm ochres, soft lead greys, dark blues and gentle creams for the ceilings above them all.
Victorian houses were built with lime plaster and solid walls, so they need paint that breathes. Every colour here comes in a natural, breathable paint, the modern equivalent of the distemper these rooms were first decorated with, and well suited to heritage and listed buildings.
