Photocatalytic & Air Purifying Paints - Break Down Pollutants

Photocatalytic paint is a new generation of air purifying paint designed to help reduce indoor air pollution. The finish is durable, breathable and the paint is formulated using natural lime and advanced mineral ingredients that react with light to break down pollutants, neutralise odours, and support a healthier indoor environment.

How does air purifying paint work? - paints actively clean the air using photocatalysis. Light strikes the active mineral particles within the paint, triggering a reaction that decomposes airborne pollutants.

Is air purifying paint eco friendly?
Yes. Most air purifying paints are lime based and absorn CO during the curing process. Because they're a type of breathable paint they regulate moisture naturally, and help prevent mould without relying on conventional biocides.

Does photocatalytic paint have antibacterial or anti mould properties?
Lime based mineral paints have naturally high pH levels, creating an inhospitible surface for bacteria and mould. If your mould problem is severe, you may wish to consider using one of our specially formulated lime based anti mould paints.

What ingredients make air purifying paint effective?
Typical components include lime (Calcium Hydroxide), titanium dioxide for photocatalytic action, natural mineral fillers, and cellulose.
