Natural Lime & Chalk Based Paints for Interior & Exterior Walls
Natural lime based paint is traditionally used on older houses that have lime plasters, although these days lots more people are choosing to re plaster using lime based plasters rather than gypsum.
Lime paints are a great eco and sustainable breathable option to modern ’standard’ paints, and the surface and texture they create is truly wonderful. They are naturally higher in PH than ’standard’ paints, so really help inhibit the growth of mould and mildew, so can be used as anti mould paints. We have a good selection of lime based paints, where lime is the main ingredient (Such as the Auro 344 Lime Paint which can be used where you would use ‘normal’ paints! A more traditional option would be using the Lime Earth Paints. Auro are a more modern approach.
