Airfresh Photocatalytic Lime Wall Paint by Auro 328
A scientifically developed white natural paint by Auro Paints that breaks down airbourne pollutants and odours through a photocatalytic effect. Proven to remove 95% of formaldehyde within 2 hours - this doesn't absorb pollutants it actually breaks them down. Want to paint lime paints over big brand / plastic paints? Read this.
The special combination of raw materials such as lime acts as a catalyst that, activated by light, splits up odours and air pollutants into neutral substances.
This low-odour paint is solvent-free and has a very good coverage. Due to its alkalinity, it also has an inhibiting effect on spores, viruses and bacteria.

All about Airfresh Photocatalytic Lime Wall Paint by Auro 328A scientifically developed natural paint that breaks down airbourne pollutants and odours through a photocatalytic effect. Proven to remove 95% of formaldehyde within 2 hours – this doesn’t absorb pollutants it actually breaks them down.
The special combination of raw materials acts as a catalyst that, activated by light, splits up odours and air pollutants into neutral substances.
This low-odour paint is solvent-free and has a very good coverage. Due to its alkalinity, it also has an inhibiting effect on spores, viruses and bacteria. Airfresh wallpaint can be tinted with AURO Lime tinting base no. 350 but please note that tinting can modify the product characteristics of the paint.
Application:
For the priming coat, dilute the paint with 20% water, then apply up to three coats diluted with up to 10% of water. Allow for 24 hours of drying time between coats.
If painting over old, regular emulsion or non-mineral coatings, we strongly recommend priming the surface with Auro 505 Grip Coat before applying Auro 328.
IMPORTANT: unlike regular emulsions, lime-based wall paints such as Auro 328 dry through a process called carbonation, which means they benefit from drying slowly, to enable a strong bond to be formed with the surface it is applied to. It is therefore important to avoid rapid drying, hence limit both ventilation and warm room temperature.
May require sieving / skimming grid. Please note, as mentioned above this is a natural lime paint, and it is natural to have small lumps of lime in the paint that have formed due to it being a natural product. This is normal, and like all traditional lime paints we advise using a skimming grid whilst painting, or sieving before using.
This does not affect the quality or effectiveness of the paint.
Tips:
Light initiates the photocatalytical effect that supports the degradation of odours and pollutants, a process that was examined and proven in tests.
