Can I paint chalk or lime paints over modern plastic paints?

The Auro grip coats (such as the Auro 505 Universal Primer - Fine) and specific plaster primers enable you to paint the lime-based paints - such as Auro 327 Anti Mould, Auro 326 Chalk Paint, Auro 328 Anti Allergy, or Auro 344 Lime Paints - over normal emulsion.

Ideally these lime-based paints would go onto bare plaster or onto a similar lime/mineral-based coating, and would not be suitable on top of a modern emulsion (adhesion issues could ensue), but the Auro grip coats overcome that potential issue.

So in summary, yes you can paint Auro clay paints, lime paints and anti mould paints over petrochemical (and natural) wall emulsion paints. You just need to use the Auro Universal Grip Primer first.

Well done Auro!

Just as a further thought...

This is all 'if' you wanted to. But one could question the point of using a lime paint on that surface, as one of the properties of a lime paint is its high breathability, which is nullified by the plastic coat beneath it. But, say, if only one wall of a room had that plastic paint on and the other walls were fresh lime plaster then it makes perfect sense, or you wanted to treat one areas with an anti mould paint.
