Exterior gloss paint is a traditional choice for external wood care, such as wooden window frames and exterior trim. Gloss paint picks up less dirt and grime than the equivalent exterior satin or eggshell wood paint, and generally just looks much better if you have a well prepped surface you're paint. Wood is a traditional for good reason, it always looks great when well looked after.
