Light-coloured wood stays light!

Osmo Polyx®-Oils are developed from natural oils and waxes to provide the most hardwearing and durable protection for wooden flooring and furniture. Untreated wood in its original form has a light, pale character from its natural ‘raw’ appearance. Sanded wood also has the same effect. Osmo Polyx®-Oil 3044 Raw is designed to retain this appearance by using a small amount of white pigments to neutralise the permanent ‘wet-look’ that develops after application of a clear finish. Like a Hardwax oil.

Transparent coloured, satin wood finish that uniquely combines the advantages of natural oils and waxes in one product. Osmo Polyx®-Oil Effect Raw is resistant to dirt, water and abrasion and smoothens the surface. In comparison to conventional finishes, the use of plant ingredients creates a more evenly coloured and more harmonious appearance. Simple application without primer or intermediate sanding – this saves time and money. Suitable for wood; water-repellent surface does not crack, peel, flake or blister. Resistant to wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juice, milk and water according to DIN 68861-1A – no water spots. When dry, finish is safe for humans, animals and plants and is suitable for children‘s toys as per EN 71.3 (European norm) and is saliva-resistant and sweatproof according to DIN 53160 (German industrial norm).

Osmo Polyx®-Oil Effect Raw is suitable for the protection and nearly invisible finish of all light-coloured interior woods, such as wooden floors and furniture.

Apply very thinly and brush out any white pigments from the surface before leaving to dry to acheive the desired results. Allow to dry for approx. 24 hours under good ventilation.
After drying, quickly apply a second coat also thinly.
When renovating or recoating an already oiled surface, one coat applied to the clean and dry surface is usually sufficient.

Based on natural plant oils and waxes (sunflower oil,
soya oil, thistle oil, carnauba wax and candelilla wax),
paraffin, titanium dioxide white pigment, siccatives (drying agents) and water-repellent additives. Dearomatized white spirit (benzene-free).
