Natural Clay Paint, Colours - Breathable & Non Toxic - Auro 535

Auro's environmentally friendly clay paint is suitable for all living spaces and because it’s splash water resistant you can also use it in kitchens and bathrooms. It’s especially great in bedrooms as our clever paint will store the humidity during the night and release it later.

Auro's clay paints are made using only natural ingredients and formulated to be gentle on the earth, your home – and your health too. Our team of gentle chemists have developed a very clever natural binding formula (Replebin®), which means it goes on easily, is harder to scratch and dent, and cuts emissions. Unlike many grainy clay paints, it’s fine and smooth and can be applied with brush or airless spraying.

Application
For a uniformly coloured coating result, the surface to be painted should also have a uniform colour. Prime strongly absorptive substrates with AURO Plaster primer no. 301. A coat of AURO Grip Coat no. 505 may be needed for difficult to cover new gypsum plaster. On uniformly white surfaces apply paint without diluting. On pre-painted surfaces apply 1 coat diluted with up to 10% of water, or AURO Grip coat, fine no. 505. Subsequently, apply one or two coats of undiluted clay paint.

Tips
For a perfect painting result, first paint the carefully masked edges and corners, and immediately afterwards paint the rest of the area with a roller. Apply the paint liberally and always work to a wet edge.
