What Does Global GreenTag Assess?
Global GreenTag uses different certification tools, so the exact meaning depends on the mark shown on the product certificate.
HealthRATE - Focuses on product health and ingredient transparency. For paint, this is relevant to VOCs, formaldehyde, heavy metals and other substances that may affect people using or living with the product. HealthRATE ratings run from BronzeHEALTH to PlatinumHEALTH, with PlatinumHEALTH the strongest rating in this part of the scheme.

GreenRate - Assesses broader sustainability and green building evidence without requiring a full life cycle assessment. GreenRate awards Level A, B or C, helping specifiers understand how a product may support green building rating tools.

LCARate - Looks at a product's wider lifecycle impact using life cycle assessment principles. Global GreenTag says LCARate is based on ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 life cycle assessment processes, with Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum levels.
