Is Auro 108 Food Safe?

"Once dry the 108 Worktop Oil will be safe for food preparation. There is absolutely nothing harmful in its ingredients. Tung oil, linseed oil, sunflower oil, castor oil, fatty acids, drying agents (cobalt-free)

You should allow at least 24 hours for the oil to dry after application before use; oils take approx 21-28 days to reach full hardness so whilst the worktop can be used during this period we'd advise that it is treated more gently - particularly when it comes to cleaning (i.e. lighter wipe rather than vigorous rub)"

Solid wood kitchens require regular maintenance to ensure they retain their natural beauty. The worktop and door panels need to be protected from dirt, grime, and water which can affect the finish during years of intensive use.

Auro 108 provides a breathable finish and helps maintain a healthy indoor climate in your home. Note that this oil contains Linseed which will result in a slight darkening of tone in wood finishes. Vegan friendly, contains no animal derived ingredients.

Ingredients: Tung oil, linseed oil, sunflower oil, castor oil, drying agents (cobalt-free), fatty acids

Coverage: Coverage per sq.m - 0,375L: 8 sq.m 0,5L: 10 sq.m

Application: Apply evenly, and remove any surplus oil from worktop surfaces after 30 minutes with a lint free cloth or pad. If the surface is not saturated by the first application, wait 24 hours before applying again. Can be diluted with Auro 191 Thinner for low absorbency woods (Max 20%).

Tips: This worktop oil takes 4 weeks to completely harden. Treat the surface with caution until this time has elapsed.

Apply evenly and take off surplus oil within 30 minutes with a clean, lint-free cloth or pad. The application can be repeated after 24 hour should the surface still appear unsaturated.

Tips:
Final hardness is achieved after four weeks. Until then, the surface should be treated carefully.
