Pioneers in natural oil finishes.

Only a suitable wood finish can meet the needs of wood so that it retains its natural beauty and durability for a long time.

To achieve exactly these goals, Osmo as a pioneer in the field self-developed its micro-porous, natural oil and wax-based finishes over 40 years ago.

Osmo Polyx Oils - we stock the three main Osmo Poylx oils here in store in Stroud as well as online here. Polyx is fundamentally a durable and hardwearing hardwax oil, that is resistant to water, dirt and abrasion. Perfect for wooden floors as well as wooden furniture. We stock all the hero Osmo Polyx products, such as the original Polyx clear oil, Coloured Polyx Oil and Osmo Polyx Raw Oil. The clear oil is available as 3011 which is the clear glossy oil, the 3032 which is the clear satin oil, as well as 3062 which is the polyx clear oil in matt, and last of all the 3065 polyx oil which is clear and semi matt. Everything you need!

FAQ

Learn more about Osmo Wood Oils & Woodstains

Please don't. Osmo oils are designed to be used directly on bare, sanded wood!

'Transparent' finishes are the Osmo colour shades, which allow the beauty and texture of the wood to show.
'Clear' finishes do not contain any pigment at all, so just enhance the woods natural tones. For the most 'invisible' finish, use the 3044 Polyx RAW for your interior wood work, and for exterior use the 429 Natural UV protection.

Almost certainly it's taking ages to dry due to over application. You only need a max of two thin coats for most application. To fix, try and provide better ventilation. Ideally, if you spot you have used too much, remove excess with a clean and dry cloth.

We suggest using Osmo's own brush cleaner and thinners. This should work for cleaning the oil of your brushes for all of the Osmo range.
